Background

Cartwright Communications was appointed by Willmott Dixon to raise the company’s profile in the Midlands by promoting its community initiatives, construction works and expertise in the construction sector.

Objectives

Cartwright’s brief was to create a regular flow of news releases, case studies and expert opinion pieces to secure targeted media coverage across local, regional and trade press.
 
As well as this, the company wanted support in organising on-stand events and maximising its support of the international property show MIPIM which Cartwright attends annually.
 
Results
 
Since starting work with Willmott Dixon, Cartwright Communications has achieved significant trade, regional and local media coverage supporting key pieces of construction work such as the Biosciences building in Nottingham, the Lincoln Carlton Academy – a Sunesis build school,  in partnership with Scape, which was built to address a shortage in primary school places, and Dock in Leicester.
 
Cartwright regularly attends ‘topping out’ ceremonies to create content for the media and has also advised the firm on how to leverage CSR events and projects.
 
A rolling case study programme has also been implemented to provide Willmott Dixon with marketing collateral to take to MIPIM that clearly showcases the company’s work.

Cartwright has also helped form strategic partnerships for the firm by making introductions to relevant bodies and organisations and has organised a series of key media briefings to take place with Willmott Dixon at MIPIM.
