The Walk café bar, Nottingham
The Walk opened its doors in June 2008 and quickly became the ‘must go’ venue in Nottingham—and it continues to be so to this day. A private organisation, the café set up on the brink of recession but has succeeded despite the odds. With queues of eager diners every lunchtime, The Walk was shortlisted in the 2009 Nottingham Restaurant of the Year awards.
Cartwright Communications worked closely with The Walk to create a precise strategy resulting in a monthly plan for targeting the necessary regional audiences.
The café featured in local, regional and national media. In 2009, in Vogue magazine, Sir Paul Smith named The Walk as his favourite place to eat in Nottingham. Other national coverage includes the Daily Express, Sunday Telegraph and The New York Times.
The coverage achieved for The Walk has been beyond our expectations. The Cartwright team were great to deal with.
