Who are we?
We are a dedicated team of PR professionals…
Liz Cartwright
Liz heads the team. A journalist for more years than she cares to remember, Liz set up Cartwright Communications in 2006. She worked for national and regional newspapers and magazines before moving up to newsdesk level. With many years experience of working in the business to business and consumer PR world, Liz has handled high profile campaigns for all sizes of organisation – from large corporates to public sector, from entrepreneurs to SMEs. If Liz wasn’t in PR, she would be: a global travel writer with amazing expenses so she could take her husband and kids along. Failing that, she would teach Pitman shorthand – a dying art!
Mark Stretton
Ex-journalist Mark has over seven years’ experience working in local government PR. Mark worked as a journalist and news editor for a number of local newspapers in Leicestershire. Mark is a fully qualified journalist and educated to post-graduate degree level. If Mark wasn’t in PR, he would be: a cricket writer for The Times. His favourite ground is Trent Bridge, so if he couldn’t work on The Times, he would be happy to just mow the grass!
Clare Hitchings
Clare has more than ten years’ experience in journalism and PR. She started out at the Nottingham Evening Post and in 2003, Clare moved into PR. She spent six years working in-house for public sector organisations. Together with her journalism qualification, news and PR experience, Clare also completed a Diploma with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in 2008. If Clare wasn't in PR she would be: the one in the Minnie Mouse outfit at Disneyland!
Rose Williams
Rose Williams started out in PR with a charity in Derby and has worked hard to learn the ropes in the PR world. A recent history graduate, she is a good writer with excellent research skills.
If Rose wasn't in PR she would be: a historical researcher for the BBC or a quizmaster general.
Chloe Williams
Chloe Williams has recently relocated to the East Midlands after working at one of London's top PR companies for just under two years. A recent journalism graduate, she is a keen writer and a real people person.
If Chloe wasn't in PR she would be: a television or radio presenter, interviewing interesting people is right up her street!
Kiren Pooni
Kiren has eight years PR experience and joined Cartwright after spending five years at a London-based PR agency. Here, Kiren worked on a broad range of clients covering sectors including: consumer travel, charity, graduate recruitment and human resources. She has been involved in many research, campaign and product launches for both consumer and business to business clients.
If Kiren wasn’t in PR she would be: organising Glastonbury festival – music, planning events and generally organising stuff are some of her favourite things.
Jennie Holland
Jennie is a public relations graduate with ten years' consumer PR experience. She joined Cartwright Communications after working in sunny Sydney for two years. Prior to that, Jennie worked in London and the East Midlands on health, beauty, fashion, charity and digital brands.
If Jennie wasn’t in PR she would be: A travel blogger writing about trips to the far corners of the earth, or she would run an animal rescue shelter.
