Knights plc is the fastest-growing regional professional services business in the UK. Cartwright Communications was appointed to support the firm’s ambitious plans for growth and targeted strategy through PR and digital.
Knights is a fast-paced business which demands a highly targeted approach to its PR and marketing, aimed at raising the profile of its specialist services, highlighting it as a key employer and increasing its online presence via social media. Establishing CEO David Beech as a leader in his field and other office heads within their regions was also an important focus.
We worked with the in-house marketing function to develop a long-term integrated PR and marketing plan, focusing on corporate news stories such as mergers and acquisitions and major deals; expert comment and thought leadership articles targeted towards national and trade journalists; developing and implementing social media protocol and templates to ensure a consistent tone of voice. We also provided internal communications support surrounding the launch of a new intranet system.
During a 24-month period, we generated nearly 350 media articles within target publications regionally, nationally and within key trade titles including setting up journalist interviews at MIPIM for the team. National media coverage was also increased significantly – rising by eight per cent in just 12 months.
