Due to the pandemic, National Care Group’s annual conference and awards was held online for the first time, with more than 1,000 colleagues attending. Hosted by radio DJ Jo Whiley, the aim was to shine a spotlight on the amazing work of staff during Covid-19 and build the group’s public profile, both regionally and in trade.

Split press releases into two categories, company-focussed and people-focussed. The first was centred on the event from a business perspective and the second on the awards National Care Group’s colleagues received in regions across the UK. These were then issued to respective audiences to maximise the opportunity for coverage.

Coverage in 13 publications, ten regional pieces for respective awards releases and three trade articles for the business-focussed press release, with an advertising value equivalent of 5297.24.

A strong relationship established with regional publications, such as Hartlepool Mail and The Phoenix Newspaper, and trade publications, such as The Carer and Care Industry News – who now regularly publish National Care Group stories.

Repurposed content that was able to be used on National Care Group’s website, social media channels and intranet.

“We were delighted with the results the Cartwright team achieved following our annual awards ceremony. They worked closely with us on the content, which was turned around incredibly quickly and secured both trade and regional coverage, hitting our brief and celebrating the achievements of our brilliant colleagues perfectly.”
