BACKGROUND

Derwent Living is a ‘profit for social purposeorganisation providing affordable housing across the UK. Cartwright has worked with Derwent Living for 15 years – our longest-standing client – providing our PR, social media and marketing skills. Being a human-facing organisation, Derwent needed regular support with crisis media management.  

APPROACH

We worked hand-in-glove with the Derwent Living marketing team, providing month-on-month media content, support with large-scale events, and management of media crises. Our media relations strategy was to be reactive to current housing topics, and we sought out national newspaper journalists for extensive interview opportunities with Derwent’s chief executive.  

RESULTS

It’s fantastic that we have worked with Derwent for a decade and a half – a testament to the trust the company places in us. In return, we have achieved standout media coverage in national print and broadcast media titles, providing tens of thousands of press clippings, with a reach of tens of millions of people. We are very proud of those results.
