Indegno is an Italian street food and fast casual dining concept originating in Bologna, Italy. With three established venues in the country, the award-winning company wanted to expand its horizons – and launched its first UK restaurant in London’s Shoreditch in October 2023. 

Having appointed Cartwright as its marketing, PR, social media, social ad and launch event partner, Indegno wanted to educate customers about its traditional crescentine – a fried and folded dough crescent that comes filled with a range of authentic Italian ingredients. 


Over three months, Cartwright deployed a full suite of tactics as part of the team’s launch strategy, beginning with a marketing workshop to translate the brand and its tone of voice for the UK market. This included the revision of its logo, strapline and brand assets. 

The PR team drafted a series of content pieces to reveal details of the launch and educate consumers about the product, while the social team set up the brand’s UK channels and mapped out content to gain traction quickly on Instagram and TikTok.  

The project culminated in a successful launch event to raise awareness of the brand among London foodie influencers and audiences. 


Our results were testament to the success of a combined approach, having seen coverage in the Evening Standard, The Telegraph and Restaurant.  

We achieved 23 pieces of coverage with a combined reach of 26.1 million. The Indegno Instagram account quickly gained 1.2k followers using tactics from events, influencer marketing and competitions to grow an engaged audience. We welcomed 48 guests at the launch event in November, filling the venue’s capacity and seeing a resulting 302K in influencer reach from VIP guests and ad-hoc visits from the likes of @theitalianfoodaholic (71.3K) and @pistachioinlondon (57K).
