BACKGROUND

We worked with the Lincolnshire Showground to promote the return of its beloved Lincolnshire Show in June 2022 – marking its first outing since the pandemic. This incorporated traditional media relations ahead of the event to showcase the key attractions and drive ticket sales.

We supported with securing the attendance of more than 150 members of the press, with pre-event engagement and on-site, on the day collaboration with these representatives, securing stellar press coverage for the event.

APPROACH

Prior to the Show, we held a planning meeting with the BBC Look North team to discuss logistics for its live 6.30pm news show broadcast on the first day. This included agreeing and coordinating the filming for various segments in advance and throughout the first day of the show, as well as supporting with the organisation of a live audience to back Peter Levy’s presenting slot.

RESULTS

Two segments were organised to support BBC Look North’s show – one in the Lincolnshire Kitchen and one with three inner-city school children presenting their first show through their eyes. We generated over 190 press features during the campaign featuring in Lincolnshire Echo, Horse & Hound, Farmers Guardian, BBC Look North and many more.
