Luxury Cottages is a holiday rental agency that offers a broad selection of high-end staycation experiences in the UK’s most sought-after travel destinations. It provides a range of hand-picked property collections to suit every holidaymaker nationwide.
We were tasked with creating a PR strategy to raise the profile of spotlight properties and regions, while telling the stories of the holiday-let homeowners and elevating the unique experiences that differentiate Luxury Cottages in the competitive holiday rental market.
Over a four-month period, we forged connections with a range of property and travel journalists across consumer and national press to bring to the forefront the different properties it could offer and the unique stories behind them.
We undertook a mixture of proactive and reactive pitching, targeting the location interests of journalists and the styles of properties that may appeal to them, from dog-friendly staycations and eco retreats to the ultimate wedding destination and much more.
Within the first three months of working together, we secured an amazing variety of national and consumer press highlighting different properties under Luxury Cottages’ portfolio. We achieved double-page spreads for home and houseowner case studies across target media, including The Times, Coast Magazine, The Scotsman and iBuild Magazine.
We also achieved a significant volume of national press coverage through a campaign delivered in partnership with etiquette influencer The Royal Butler, who has almost 500K followers on Instagram and over 230K on TikTok.
Alongside a celebrity visit to the property Ogilive Castle in Scotland, we organised an interview and featured etiquette tips with OK! Magazine, Mail Online, The Daily Record and Hello! Magazine.
We secured backlinks to the Luxury Cottages website and supported with content ideas for social posts on the visit, with The Royal Butler posting more than 20 times across his channel to hundreds of thousands of followers, giving etiquette tips on being a good guest.
