Fifth-generation family business Ringtons is a firm favourite with discerning tea drinkers, having one of the UK’s longest-running doorstep delivery services that now serves more than 220,000 customers. The firm, dating back to 1907, has one of the largest tea and coffee manufacturing facilities in the country.
To showcase this knowledge and expertise – and bring the family brand to an even wider audience – we created a ‘tea tips’ campaign with a step-by-step guide to creating the best brew. Furthermore, we aimed to gain valuable backlinks to the company’s website.
We consulted Ringtons’ expert tea buyer and blender to give his top ‘insider’ brewing tips to create the most flavoursome mug of tea possible. We wanted a content piece that would feature unique advice and be engaging and trend-led enough to feature in national media titles.
Our content team produced a ‘listicle’ of what makes a great cuppa – from the type of mug used to cost-of-living energy hacks – to create easily readable copy with engaging photographs that consumer journalists love.
A bonus would be in creating an ‘evergreen’ piece of content that is search optimised and stays fresh and relevant for readers over a period of time.
The results were brew-tiful – we secured 33 key pieces of coverage in national and international publications, including The Sun, Express, Metro, The Mirror and Daily Star.
The piece was shared on social media a total of 377 times and we gained 10 backlinks to Ringtons.co.uk. The company’s tea expert was also featured on Heart Radio as a result of the buzz around our article.
