Jones Bar Group opened its sixth Roxy Ball Room in Nottingham – its first Midlands venture – tasking us with managing a VIP opening event, as well as providing overall positive comms in the build up to the launch.
Through a targeted media relations and social media plan covering the three months up to the launch, we built plenty of buzz for the games-based bar’s opening – and then managed two launch events for VIPs and the public.
In the run up, we engaged with key influencers and media – and organised a number of ‘office takeovers’ in local businesses to drum up awareness for the bar opening.
10 bespoke promotional videos were planned and produced, including time lapses and interviews with the graffiti artist responsible for the bar’s interior, including Nottingham references like the Boots logo.
Our stellar social media plan saw high levels of engagement and saw a 152% increase in Facebook page likes, while the launch video was viewed more than 3,000 times across social channels and 26 pieces of media coverage were secured.
The VIP launch was attended by more than 200 people, including Olympic table tennis player Kelly Sibley – and the success of the two launch events saw the VIP room booked up every Friday for the rest of that year.
