The Conygar Investment Company
BACKGROUND
We were tasked by developer The Conygar Investment Company to undertake the first phase of a comprehensive engagement programme for The Island Quarter, a 36-acre mixed-use regeneration in the heart of Nottingham.
APPROACH
We coordinated with the masterplanning team to plan a key focus for each engagement sessions, researching and inviting the stakeholders and representatives from organisations across the city before collating their comments and feedback.
We delivered 13 engagement sessions across topics including biodiversity, transport, building height and massing, accessibility and inclusion.
For each stakeholder event, we supported with the provision of imagery to help guide the engagement, as well as compiling meeting minutes to record and summarise the session – all of which was fed back to Conygar and the project delivery team.
RESULTS
To conclude the first phase of engagement, a custodian group event was delivered by the masterplanning team, bringing together a selection of attendees from the stakeholder events to showcase the changes to the masterplan following input from the sessions.
Following a successful first phase of engagement, we have now commenced the second phase, continuing discussions on these topics and further areas, including heritage and conservation.
