Twitter is a key tool and social media platform, particularly for businesses, as it is all about communication. In a handy step-by-step guide, senior account executive Charlotte Dove explains one of the most useful features on Twitter
So long as your content is relevant and engaging, it is fairly easy to find your key audience through retweets, likes, hashtags, shares, strategic following and more.
All this activity is incredibly important. But on-the-go, live action tweeting nearly always receives the best engagement. Therefore, having Twitter on your phone is an incredibly useful feature.
If you’re like me then you may have a personal account, a company account and maybe even a few clients that you want to tweet from when you are out and about or at important events.
This is where adding multiple Twitter accounts to your phone can be very useful. I’ve created a handy step by step guide to walk you through the very simple process*:
Step 1. Open up your Twitter app
Step 2: Click the icon in the top left-hand corner of your screen (it should be your profile picture)
Step 3: Next click on the three dots on the right-hand side of the display
Step 4: Select ‘Add an existing account’
Step 5: Finally enter the log in information (phone/email/username and password) and the newly added account will be linked.
The app makes flicking between accounts seamless and always displays your profile picture or logo so you know which account you are on at all times.
Just keep in mind that each account may have a different tone of voice and style of content - your personal account will most likely be very different to a business account.
Finally remember to think about your hashtags and take advantage of all the features Twitter already has to offer.
