East Midlands-based Nelsons provides legal services for businesses and individuals across the country. The law firm is credited as one of the UK’s top 200.

We have been working with Nelsons since 2013, using traditional PR content to raise general awareness of the law firm and its services.



We have worked closely with the team at Nelsons over a number of years to develop an integrated PR and content marketing strategy that works hard to gain exceptional coverage, grab attention online and raise the firm’s profile in front of its target audiences.

To do this, we blend traditional media relations with digital tactics, using outreach PR and a ‘click-able’ content strategy to boost customer enquiries and increase links back to Nelsons’ website.

We have also been supporting Nelsons in developing dozens of videos for its website and social media channels.

We also place a particular focus on supporting Nelsons and its clients with inquests and medical negligence cases – handling them sensitively and being a conduit between the media, the solicitor and families.


Nelsons’ 2019-2020 financial year was our most successful year to date. Between June 2019 and May 2020 alone, we generated 423 media articles, with a reach of 55.6 million. We also secured multiple broadcast interviews – totalling one hour and six minutes in airtime – for professionals from the law firm.

We ‘news-jacked’ high-profile incidents that affected the UK population and provided employee/employer advice pieces to national, regional and trade publications, with the employment team reaching approximately 23.3 million people alone as a result of this strategy.

We created press release-specific strategies for high-profile cases, generating a reach of almost 15 million over the last year.

As a result of the online coverage generated, we secured 92 links back to the Nelsons website, including in titles such as: Yorkshire Post; Vows and Venues; The Mirror; Drapers; Marie Claire; The Divorce Magazine; LBC; Business Advice; BBC News; Cosmopolitan; Lawyer Monthly; Pink News; and the Nottingham Post.

One of the greatest achievements over the past year has been the breadth of coverage generated across multiple different titles and vertical sectors, including Cosmopolitan; The Mirror; Daily Mail; Drapers; Landlord Today; This is Money; Pink News; LBC; Financial Times; Public Sector Build Journal; BBC Radio 5 Live; The British Medical Journal; BBC News; Grazia; Daily Telegraph; Landlord Today; Property Week; Investment Week; and i News.
